Starting at the bottom picture , fold in 8 even sections, use a bone folder to make your creases sharp. Cut the slit(in pic) with an exacto or scissors. fold and like magic you have an 8 page little book to decorate or give directions on how to do something, Sweet!!The top pictures are what I did with my book. Hope you like it.

This is awesome and now I'm eager to go try it with some tea-dyed paper I've been saving for a special project. Thank you so much for the inspiration and instructions. Blessings!
PS: You music is very laid back. I love it!
Wow! I've never seen this before! Thanks for the instructions. Can't wait to try it myself.
Your work is wonderful and I enjoy browsing your blog!
Great tutorial!! Thanks for sharing -
This technique makes a lovely invitation, too, especially if you have a lot of information to convey.
I just used it for a library open house/tenth anniversary for their "new" building, and starting with a legal size piece of paper, it folds down to a little smaller than a standard invitation size envelope.
This is really GORGEOUS! I recall learning to teach this small book for elementary school students . . . I never thought of transferring the idea to an altered book! Yours is WONDERFUL!!
