piece of heavy (cardstock) paper and a nice black pen, Like a pilot. Trace a circle on the paper. split that circle into curved sections,how about 6 or 7. Doodle a different design in each, circles, squiggles,squares etc. Stand back and look at your creation. Then you will be caught up in the world of Zen, planning your next squiggle or spider web.

I've tried basic zentangles before, but I get frustrated that mine do not look as intricate as those of other people. However, I still think they are super-fun to make!
